Question 1) Why do you feel cold when you enter an air-conditioned room after a hot day?

Group answer : It is because your body that is warm from the hot day loses heat to the colder surrounding air in the air-conditioned room. Since heat is transferred from your body to the surrounding cold air,you will feel colder.

My answer : Heat is transferred from a hotter to a colder region.When our body which is warmer than the surrounding air enters the colder room. we lose heat and thus our body will feel colder.


Question 1) Why do you shiver when you come out of the swimming pool on a hot day?


Group answer : On a hot day , when one comes out off the swimming pool, the water on the body evaporates due to the day 's heat and heat is transferred away from the skin to the surrounding.


My answer:When we come out of the swimming pool , water droplets are still left on our bodies. When the water droplets evaporates into the surrounding air or drips down onto the floor,our body will feel colder. The great change in temperature will cause our body to shiver.
